AGM  June 2019

The Committee were delighted to welcome a large attendance of Members at our 32nd Annual General Meeting held on 5th June.
All Office-bearers were re-elected to serve for another two years.
Tony Rowley was elected to serve on the Committee, onto which Neil Barlow, Lorette Duddy and Joan Robinson were re-elected.
Membership is now 837 which is the highest for twenty years. This enables a wider range of activities to be offered and Bird Watching, Guitar, Line Dancing and Yoga have been added to the Activity Timetable.
It was agreed that, for accommodation which carries a charge, that charge be raised to £1.20 from September 1st, with the exception of the Brisbane Centre which will remain at 50p.
Following the AGM, Mr Roy Paterson, President of the Clyde River Steamer Club gave an audio visual presentation entitled “Clyde Steamers in Motion.” This was not only a wonderful advert for tourism on the Clyde but also evoked memories of bygone days when steamers called at Craigendoran, Innellan, Kirn, Dunoon, and Keppel Pier to name but a few. Roy interspersed his presentation with humorous anecdotes and had a quiz where the audience was asked to guess the name of the pier.
Following Roy’s presentation refreshments were served. Jean Stuart
