Rosslyn Chapel & National Mining Museum

The next outing is on Friday 25th October to Rosslyn Chapel & The National Mining Museum. Rosslyn is situated south of Edinburgh off the road to Pennicuik and was used as a setting by Dan Brown in his book ‘The De Vinci Code’ and is associated with the Knights Templar. The Mining Museum is a few miles away at the old Lady Victoria Colliery in Newtongrange. We did this double visit a few years ago and it proved very popular.

The bus will leave Bath Street in Largs at 8:30 am with return into Largs expected by 7:00 pm. The customary lunch of soup, sandwiches and tea/coffee is included in the ticket price of £40 as is entry to the two places. Tickets for members and guests will be available in the OIR Office from Tuesday 1st October.
