FOREIGN LANGUAGE GROUPS
As we approach the OIR Open Day, may I put in a word in favour of our Foreign Language groups - French. German, Italian and Spanish?
There are some very good reasons to learn a foreign language: children and grandchildren based abroad, holidays to be enjoyed, some job requirements, a keen interest in their art and literature - to name but a few.
There is another, more selfish reason too: just like doing crosswords and quizzes, learning a foreign language causes us to use our little grey cells, and it is believed that such activity refreshes the mind and wards off a decline in one's mental powers.

So join one of the OIR foreign language classes this year. You'll not regret your decision!
