About OIR Largs

What is OIR?

OIR Largs is a friendly and welcoming organisation for people aged 50 and over. Founded in 1987, it now has around 750 members from Largs, Skelmorlie, Wemyss Bay, Fairlie, West Kilbride and further afield who come together to enjoy a wide range of activities and social opportunities.

Whether you are retired, planning for retirement, or still working and simply looking to make the most of your free time. OIR is here to help people stay active, learn new skills, meet new friends and share interests with others in the local community.

Most of our activity groups are created and run by members themselves, drawing on their enthusiasm, talents and willingness to volunteer. Members are always encouraged to suggest new activities and help bring fresh ideas to life.

Membership costs just £15 per year (running from 1 August) and gives you access to a lively and supportive community with something for everyone.

OIR Largs is a charity registered in Scotland (No. SC012153).
