Location of Meeting: Largs United Free Church Hall, 23 Brisbane Road

Day and Time: First Tuesday of the month, 10.00am until noon. 

Following on from the successful British Archaeology course, created and led by Iain Mills, we intend to build on this to explore LOCAL Archaeology in more detail.  There is much to explore, from the Neolithic chambered tomb of Margaret's Law to the  Iron Age hill forts on the hills above Largs and the local Viking Legacy. We  have a Roman fortlet and Medieval castles nearby and an ancient burial ground in the centre of Largs. The aim of the Group will be to come up with practical projects which will add to the knowledge of the origins of Largs and West Kilbride. 

The separate course on British Archaeology will not run in the 2026-27 session but will be back for 2027-28. More information will be issued nearer the time.
