Rosslyn Chapel was founded in 1446 by Sir William St Clair. The beauty of its setting, in rural Midlothian, the mysterious symbolism of its ornate stonework and its role in the Da Vinci Code have inspired, attracted and intrigued writers, artists and visitors ever since.
The Chapel and visitor centre will have been decorated for Christmas enabling us to view the site in all its festive glory. We have a tour booked for 12.15, costing £10.00. At 12.45 there will be an information talk inside the Chapel, followed by a short prayer service led by a member of the church congregation.
Following our time at the Chapel we are visiting The Old Inn, a room has been set aside for us to share a Christmas meal, I have had a quote for a three course meal £35.00-£39.00. I am waiting for a quote for a two course and also the menu, as soon as these details become available I will forward to you using your contact number left when booking. Please note, Choice of menu and payment will be required seven days before visiting.
Date of visit: Friday 11th December
