The picturesque conservation village of Luss sits on the western shore of Loch Lomond. Much of the village you see today was created in the 18th & 19th centuries to house workers from the nearby slate quarries.
The village was used for the TV soap 'Take The High Road' which cemented its popularity during the '80s & 90's.
There are four short walks that will help visitors discover more about the village.
Lochside path (15 minutes) explores the village and the shore on a flat even surface.
Riverside path (30 minutes) follows the banks of Luss water on a flat even surface.
Slate Quarry (30 minutes) some steep sections and steps
Luss Heritage walk (1hour) a full circuit of the village with steep sections and steps.
We will be spending time in Luss and Lomond Shore, there are opportunities to purchase food & drink. Alternatively you may like to take advantage of the scenery and fresh air enjoying a homemade picnic.
The current coach has a W.C facility for our comfort.
